Recycle with JUNI & CO - how does it work?
Our new recycling scheme is simple; for every empty JUNI & CO product you return to us you'll receive 10 points.
Once your reach 200 points (which can also be collected when you shop) you'll be gifted a £5 voucher.
If you're not local to JUNI & CO or have other products that need to be recycled, the British Beauty Council have launched an interactive map so that you can easily find your local take-back and recycling points.

What can be recycled with us?
We've partnered with one of the UK's leading cosmetic recycling companies called MYGroup (more on them below) which means we can recycle all types of plastic, despite what the label might say.
This includes:
- Compacts
- Hair care bottles
- Lipsticks
- Lotion and soap pumps
- Make-up palettes
- Make-up tubes
- Skincare bottles
- Tubs
- Travel minis

What happens to your empty packaging?
We collect your empty packaging and send it to MYGroup. The packaging is then processed through various technologies for recovery.
MYGroup focus on extracting the higher-grade materials at first (e.g. the stuff that's suitable to become new packaging or used in upcycling). Then, metals and glass are sent for remelt and concrete manufacture - all in-house.
Once they're at a stage where the plastics are too mixed and often deemed ‘unrecyclable’ they use them to create something called MYboard™. This is used in the construction and shopfitting industries, and their in-house design team make a range of bespoke items under the ReFactory brand.
Why is recycling important?
According to British Beauty Council's The Courage to Change Report, the beauty industry produces over 120 billion units of packaging globally, much of which goes to landfill.
In fact, the beauty industry accounts for a whopping 1/3 of all landfill waste and 70% of the industry’s plastic waste is not recycled.
What’s more, research also shows that 56% of people do not recycle their bathroom products, contributing to the mounting waste crisis.

What else can you do to make your beauty routine more sustainable?
As well as recycling your empty packaging efficiently, it's worth thinking about other steps you can take to make your beauty routine more sustainable.
At JUNI & CO, we meticulously research every brand we partner with to ensure they're meeting the highest sustainability standards. This means looking at the packaging they use, ingredients they formulate with, and how they function as a company.
Below are just a few examples of some of the innovative materials our partner brands are using for their packaging instead of plastic.

Another way to minimise waste is to ensure you're not over-consuming or buying products that don't work for you, and ultimately won't be used.
Why not join us in store or book a masterclass for bespoke, expert advice? This is a great way to try products before you buy, ensuring they work with your skin type and tone.
